Half Off Admission With Recycling At Ellen Trout Zoo

What a great way to celebrate Earth Day this year. Ellen Trout Zoo has all the furry, scaled, and feathered reasons why we work to keep our planet clean. Earth Day at the Zoo will be Saturday April 27th, starting at 10 AM. Bring recyclable items to the zoo's education parking lot and get 50% off this Saturdays admission between 10am and 2pm

There are going to be lots of things to do during this Earth Day celebration. Try your hand at making your own recycled crafts. Check out all the booths that will be set up once you drop off your recycling.. The kids will enjoy the games and this chance to think about saving the planet.

To get the discount drop off enough acceptable recyclable material to fill a small office trash can per person. Bringing more is always better. Acceptable materials are along the same guidelines as the City Of Lufkin normal recycling like you would put in your blue bin at home. Cardboard, Paper, Aluminum Cans, Steel Cans, and Plastic 1 and 2. You don't have to separate, but they ask that they bee clean with no food particles or other contaminates inside.  Do not bring any glass.
