Just over a month ago, Greer's in downtown Nacogdoches closed their doors for the last time. Lots of people were concerned about where they were going to get upholstery work done, since Greer's had been the go-to for that work for so long. Well, that answer has now been answered - and the answer is that you'll take it to the same location, just a new shop, and that new shop is going to offer more than just upholstery.

Haus Design Services Coming Soon to Nacogdoches

Almost immediately after Greer's closed, renovation work started on the building. It was painted, the awning was painted, renovation work on the inside could be seen through the windows, all of the things. Now, there's even some signage telling what's next. It's going to be the home of Haus Design Services, which will be a branch of Johnson Furniture.

According to a Facebook post that I came across from George Roy Hooker, the managing partner and lead designer of the new business, Haus is going to be a firm that assists customers with all things interior design, from floors to ceilings and everything else. And - to go back with what this post started with - they will still continue the upholstery work that previously took place in Greer's. This is the proof of that:

As for the opening of Haus, it's looking like they're shooting to open up sometime in August. I'm going to keep an eye on it and let you know when it happens. It's pretty exciting news for the brick streets of Nac.

Take a Tour of Susu's Popcorn & Candy Cafe in Downtown Nacogdoches

Susu's is a one-of-a-kind snack shop on the brick streets of Nacogdoches. I know that seeing someone else's pictures isn't the same as seeing the actual thing in person, but hopefully you get just a taste - Get it? Because it's a SNACK SHOP. It's alright, you can laugh there... - of what Susu's is like.
