St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner (Mar 17th), and we gave the Lufkin bars a quick call to see what (if any) special stuff they'd be doing to get into the spirit of the holiday.

Most places will have green dye ready to bring out the emerald beer for those looking for a more festive drink on St. Patty's Day.

Here'a list of the bars confirmed to have the green goods ready;

Buffalo Wild Wings
Logan's
Chili's
Casa Ole

Here are the list of bars that are confirmed for NOT doing anything out of the ordinary;

Wild Willies
Applebees

During the process of finding out what everyone was doing we stumbled onto the fact that Big Thicket Brewery is now permanently closed in downtown Lufkin. If you need to have the brewery feel, then Fredonia Brewery should be open by the time St. Patrick's Day rolls around.

The folks at Cheddars said they've never done "green beer" before, but they are toying with the idea of doing something special this time around. Updates to follow.

We're still waiting on word from Jim Ann's, Jimmy's Bar, Bubba T's, Restoration Wine Bar, Cafe Del Rio, Olive Garden, and Tsubaki, but if it really means that much to you, green food coloring cost about $3 and you can do it yourself, even with non-alcoholic drinks ... If you want to be sober while you throw up.
