One Step Closer: Lufkin HTeaO Manager is Selected

Every day, we get one step closer to the opening of HTeaO's Lufkin location. In addition to the construction progress, now it's getting close enough that staffing progress is being made. Specifically, a general manager for the Lufkin location has been selected.

Kory Blandford Selected as New General Manager of HTeaO Lufkin

Once the construction is complete, the doors open, and the tea starts flowing, there will be a brand-new general manager at HTeaO in Lufkin: Kory Blandford. Kory's done a little bit of a lot of things, from service in the Navy, to working for multiple higher education organizations - including Stephen F. Austin State University and Angelina College right here in Deep East Texas - to Raising Cane's, some time in the radio industry, and more.

Now, he will be continuing his time in the food service industry by overseeing the soon-to-be-open HTeaO at 1410 South First Street in Lufkin. You might know that location as what used to be Hill's Auto Ranch. The auto ranch is now gone and this is what the lot currently looks like:

As you can see, there's still quite a bit of work to be done, but it's coming along quickly. No specific opening date has been announced, but from the work that's been done, it's looking like a late summer date wouldn't be out of reach.

This Lufkin location will be owned and operated by Colby and Sarah Carthel, the owners of the Nacogdoches HTeaO location. With the Carthels in the lead, along with Blandford in the GM position, it's looking like a winning combination.

It shouldn't be too long before you can swing in and get your HTeaO fix in Lufkin!
