When I heard that Blue Bell would be introducing a new ice cream flavor just in time for fall, I'll admit, I was a little apprehensive.

Every fall season, it seems that every food, dessert, drink, candle, and decor item has something to do with pumpkin spice. I know millions and millions of folks love pumpkin spice, but I'm just not that crazy about it.

Blue Bell's New Flavor Is...

Are you kidding me!! To whomever came up with this flavor...I love you and want to wash your car.

Not only is it NOT pumpkin spice, but it's also a trifecta of my favorites -- chocolate, brownie, and truffles. Blue Bell describes it as milk chocolate ice cream loaded with brownies, delicious dark chocolate-flavored truffles, and a chocolate icing swirl.

What They're Saying About the New Flavor

“This one is for our chocolate fans,” said Joe Robertson, executive director of advertising and marketing. “Chocolate Brownie Truffle is rich with flavor. We have combined our Milk Chocolate Ice Cream with chunks of delicious brownies and decadent truffles. And we added a smooth chocolate icing swirl for even more chocolate flavor. Our new Chocolate Brownie Truffle is the perfect ice cream to start the fall season.”

You had me at chocolate. But, when you added words like chunks, decadent, and icing...oh my, I just got chocolate goose bumps on my skin.

Chocolate Brownie Truffle Ice Cream is available in half-gallon and pint sizes for a limited time. I don't like the sound of that. That means there is the possibility of making this just a temporary offering or worse, removing it after the fall season.

I will be doing my part to make sure that doesn't happen. Chocolate Brownie Truffle Ice Cream will be a mainstay in our family's freezer, I hope it will be in yours, too.
