Everything New Coming To The Ellen Trout Zoo Boo

Celebrating Halloween at the Ellen Trout Zoo in Lufkin has become a yearly rite of passage for area children. Making family memories that last a lifetime makes this a great event for the Friends of Ellen Trout Zoo.

For 2024 the Zoo Boo will be on October 18th & 19th from 6pm - 8pm. Friday is usually a little more tame, and you might have a better chance of winning the costume contest.

This year there will be a few things that will be different than in years past. One of the differences is the amount of sponsors that are helping support the event.

The Zoo Boo Presented By Wright GMC

This year for the first time you can sign up in advance for the costume contest. This is my favorite event. I love seeing all of the costumes, and I get to MC.

There are two age groups 0-4 and 5-10 and two nights to compete. They are divided into four categories in each age group and each night.

New Booths, New Path, And New Prices

The booths are going to be upgraded for 2024 along with the path you take through the zoo. Regular zoo admission is charged to get into the event, and that price will change before the event.
