The Lumberjack Harley-Davidson Annual BBQ Cookoff is October 3rd

I love barbecue. I love barbecue cook-offs. I love all the aspects of barbecue. At this point, I feel fairly safe saying that it's probably in my DNA. That's why when I found out that one of our local businesses is getting ready for their annual BBQ cook-off, I got excited. If you like BBQ as much as I do, you should be excited too.

The Lumberjack Harley-Davidson Annual BBQ Cook-Off is Saturday, October 3rd

According to the event page on Facebook, the Lumberjack Harley-Davidson Annual BBQ Cook-Off will take place on Saturday, October 3rd at the Lumberjack HD dealership at 2518 Northwest Stallings Drive in Nacogdoches.

The main festivities will take place from noon to 3:00 PM on Saturday. Obviously, the teams will be working for hours and hours prepping before that time slot, but the judging, winners' announcements, etc. will take place in that three-hour time frame.

BBQ Cook-Off Prizes

As with any barbecue competition, awards will be given out for the top in each category - brisket, chicken, and ribs. The first place brisket prize will be $600 cash. The first place chicken prize will be $500 cash. The first-place ribs prize will be $400 cash.

There will also be a $300 gift card to Lumberjack Harley-Davidson for the people's overall choice - yes, that means you should make your way on out there, even if you aren't competing. Who doesn't appreciate free samples???

BBQ Cook-Off Registration Information

If you are interested in competing in the cook-off, you can register by sending an email to trinity@lumberjackhd.com. After registration is completed, you'll receive all of the official rules and information. Also - something else to keep in mind - there is no registration fee. Yes, it's free.

Technically, the festivities start the night before the cook-off with BBQ Bike Night that will include live music, food, drinks and more. It's going to be a couple of days of BBQ fun at Lumberjack Harley-Davidson. You can find more information on the Lumberjack Harley-Davidson Facebook page.
