Lots of things can change in 10 years. People come and go. Businesses change - multiple times in some cases. Old things are removed and new things replace them. The city of Nacogdoches is no exception to this. Over the course of 10 years, Nacogdoches changed dramatically, just like it'll change dramatically over the next 10 years.

Changes in Nacogdoches from 2013 to 2023

If you go onto Google Maps, they make it easy to see how things have changed in Nacogdoches over time. You can view multiple different years. For the sake of this post, I started in 2013. The pictures go back a bit farther than that, but the quality of the pictures from before 2013 isn't very good.

So, I started in 2013 and went and looked up lots of familiar businesses, buildings, etc. Then, I fast-forwarded to 2023. Yes, I know that tons of changes have been made even since 2023, but 2023 is the most recent data available on Google Maps.

I was shocked at how much Nacogdoches changed in those 10 years. Mind you, I was already living in Nacogdoches full-time at that point, just like I still am, so I've had the chance to watch all of these changes take place. But I'm still amazed at just how much things have changed.

I've seen entire buildings torn down completely and rebuilt with completely new businesses taking their places. I've seen renovations on massive scales take place. And I've seen some things that haven't changed at all, without even updating in a whole decade.

I do enjoy watching changes take place though - when they're for the best. Take a look at these pictures that give you just a small taste of how Nacogdoches changed from 2013-2023:

2013-2023: Nacogdoches Changes Over 10 Years

Nacogdoches is no stranger to changes. However, it's still impressive how much change can take place over the course of a decade. Take a look at some of the changes that took place between 2013 and 2023.
