What’s Going Up Near Buffalo Wild Wings In Nacogdoches?

Things are constantly changing in and around Nacogdoches. It's a college town. Change is expected. Businesses are constantly coming and going. New construction is all over the place - and I'm not just referring to TxDOT.

Usually, I'm pretty good about finding out what new things are. I like to think of myself as being "in-the-know". But sometimes, things slip by. This is one of those times.

The North Village Market is located on North Street in Nacogdoches. It's been there since about 2014. It started with the building of Newk's Eatery. Then, another building was added, with multiple spaces for offices or other businesses. A few years ago, Buffalo Wild Wings was built there.

Now, something else is being added to the location. Directly across from the office spaces, behind Buffalo Wild Wings, land has been cleared, and dirt work has begun for something new. I don't know that it looks big enough for an entire new building, but maybe they're just adding more of a walkway area that will be complete with trees and flower beds. Maybe they're going for the photography area concept.

I'm sure that there will be all kinds of wild speculations about what will be there..."It's the H-E-B we've been waiting for..." or "It's got to be another donut shop..." These are the comments that come up without fail when there's any new work being done around town. All I know is that I haven't heard any discussions about what will be occupying the open space. All I can do is speculate. Have any of you heard about this, or do you have any insight on it? If so, please let me know...
