Downtown Nacogdoches is no stranger to businesses coming and going. But sometimes, the announcement of a business closing takes you by complete surprise, especially when the business seems to be doing well every time you go by.

While scrolling through Facebook, I had one of those surprised moments when I read a closing soon announcement from one of the local diners.

Dolli's Diner Will Be Closing in January

According to a post on their Facebook page, Dolli's Diner will be closing at the very beginning of 2026. For those of you who don't know, or who might need to go try the diner before it's too late, Dolli's Diner is located at 116 S Pecan Street, on the brick streets of downtown Nacogdoches. Dolli's has been known for their all-day breakfast, their support of SFA, and their local diner atmosphere. It's been a pretty solid staple in Nacogdoches for several years now.

According to Facebook, the diner will be open until January 4th, so if you're looking to swing by and grab a meal, you've only got a couple of weeks left.

What's Next for Dolli and Her Crew?

Nothing else was said specifically about what was next for the team, but the post did mention that they were, "...looking forward to exciting things in the very near future!" Does that mean a new restaurant venture? A new store? A round-the-world trip? Until I get a certain answer, I can only speculate as to what exciting things might be in store.

All I know for now is that Dolli's Diner as we know it is coming to a close. That's rough news for downtown Nacogdoches, but we wish them the best.
