It has been a tough past 12 months for the entertainment world.  The opportunities to go out and see a movie or attend live performances have been limited due to restraints and precautions because of the ongoing pandemic.  Maybe the continued rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines will soon get us back to attending crowded venues.

The officials with Angelina Arts Alliance (AAA) know all about the tough times of the past year.  They have had to cancel and postpone numerous shows due to our current situation.  Thankfully, though, AAA will be bringing a few shows to the Temple Theater over the next few months.  Social distancing in the form of reduced capacity and safety precautions such as the mandatory wearing of masks will be the norm for now, understandably.

The Off-Broadway hit comedy 'Men Are From Mars - Women are From Venus, LIVE!' will be coming to Lufkin on Friday, February 12.  This show is a one-man fusion of theatre and stand-up, and is a light-hearted theatrical comedy based on the New York Times #1 best-selling book of the last decade by John Gray. Moving swiftly through a series of vignettes, the show covers everything from dating and marriage to the bedroom. It is a show that is intended for mature audiences only.

Tickets are $60 each, but you can get yours for 50% off when you use the word 'KICKS' in the promotional code space when ordering your tickets online.  You can also use the word when ordering by phone. But, you should hurry and get your tickets as only a few dozen were left at this posting. Plus, going out for a good laugh, would be some good medicine right about now.

Other upcoming AAA shows include 'An Evening with C.S. Lewis' on March 26, and 'Montopolis: The Legend of Big Bend' on April 10.
