Q107 and The Marine Corps League Teaming Up to Collect Toys for Tots

The annual Toys for Tots campaign is ramping up across East Texas to provide toys for underprivileged children during the holiday season.  Join Chris Cobb and Q107 this Friday, December 9th from 3p-5p at Wal-Mart in Lufkin to help donate.

The Marine Corps League is needing new unwrapped toys.  Monetary donations can be made to the Marine Toys for Tots program as well from now until December 20, 2011, but be sure to come join the Marines at Lufkin Wal Mart on December 9-10 for annual toy collection days.

Brian, media spokesman for the Marine Corps League, said boxes are being set out throughout the week in order to receive donations, and he hopes to make this year’s toy drive bigger and better than ever.

The national U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program has been gathering toys for Christmas for 63 years. In 2009, Marines distributed gifts to 7.4 million children in more than 690 communities nationwide, according to the program’s official website.
