Blue Bell Flavors You Rarely See in Nacogdoches Showed Up on One Store’s Shelves
In honor of National Ice Cream Month, I made my regular stroll through the frozen dessert aisle. Now, for a little context, I didn't go to the regular grocery store in Nacogdoches that I usually go to. However, when I got to the familiar Blue Bell section, I found a bunch of surprises there that I haven't seen in the other stores.
Unfamiliar Blue Bell Flavors
When I see the Blue Bell displays, I expect to see the flavors like Homemade Vanilla, Cookies 'n Cream, Dutch Chocolate, Cookie Two Step, etc. I also expect to see whatever the newest flavor is. Like, for example, the new Black Raspberry Fudge. For the most part, our stores are pretty consistent in carrying those things. When I went in this one store the other day, I saw flavors that I didn't realize that Blue Bell even made, much less sold in our area.

The first was the Ultimate Neapolitan. This wasn't a completely unfamiliar flavor, but I haven't seen it on the shelves, at the very least since Blue Bell made its comeback after the listeria nightmare. Another was the Classic Pecan Pie flavor. Granted, this is listed as a "new" flavor, so it might not be on every shelf at the same time, as soon as it comes out. That's my same thought with the "Back for a Limited Time" Orange Swirl, which was also at this grocery store.
But then, there were flavors that weren't limited time, or new. They're listed on the Blue Bell website, but I haven't seen them in our area before. These were flavors like Milk Chocolate, Strawberries & Homemade Vanilla, and Natural Vanilla Bean, among others.

Now, don't hear me wrong, I'm not complaining about these different flavors by any means. I'm just saying that they were unfamiliar to me. Take a look at some of those flavors below:
