By now I'm sure you've all seen the news about the return of the 'retro' Pizza Huts. Surely, someone in your life has shared the posts on Facebook, texted you the link to articles about it, or just told you. If you're curious about this and wondering if Deep East Texas is going to have any part of it, let me tell you...We have one - ONE - retro Pizza Hut in our region.

The Only Retro Pizza Hut in Deep East Texas is in Woodville

Pizza Hut is owned by Yum! Brands, Inc., which also owns KFC, Taco Bell and Habit Burger & Grill. According to a news release from the Yum! Brands website, there are 155 Pizza Hut restaurants that are considered "Classic Pizza Hut Locations". As of right now, the only classic Pizza Hut in Deep East Texas is located at 1110 S Magnolia Street in Woodville, Texas. Yes, out of all the other Pizza Huts that are in our area, Tyler County has the only nostalgic one.

You'll know it immediately, because this Pizza Hut actually still has the same look as the 80s and 90s restaurants with the original red hut roof.

What Are the Retro Pizza Huts Like?

Like I mentioned earlier, the retro design of Pizza Hut includes the red hut roof design. In addition to that it has other pieces that make customers relive the original design, like the checkered tablecloths, vinyl booths, arcade games and more. Dining at one of these Pizza Huts is actually like taking a step back in time.

I'm waiting to see if any of our other locations will revive the retro-theme, or if we'll just stick with only the one in Woodville. If you're feeling a bit nostalgic, you might want to make the drive there yourself!

Retro Pizza Hut Features Making A Comeback

Retro Pizza Huts are making a comeback with red roof buildings, salad bars, Tiffany-style lamps and even Pac-Man machines as operators revive the chain’s nostalgic dine-in experience.
