When it comes to Scooby-Doo, I would say I'm a pretty big fan. I have been since I was a little kid. "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?", "The New Scooby-Doo Movies", "The Scooby-Doo Show", and more were constantly playing on the TV at home. Even now, as an adult, I'm still a huge fan of those meddling kids and their talking dog, too!

The other day, I caught myself wondering, "Where would Mystery Inc. have mysteries in Deep East Texas?" Yes, it's a thing, don't judge me! You know you've had similar questions pop up in your mind before! As I was thinking about it, a few different considerations came to mind.

The Recipe for a Scooby-Doo Mystery

There were a few instances where the Scooby-Doo monster was real. However, most of the times it was just a person in a mask with some motive for making a place look haunted - trying to scare off someone, trying to keep treasure for themselves, etc. So, you have to take into account where someone might benefit from creating a monster or a ghost story.

Locations to Consider

Generally, the locations that Mystery Inc. found themselves at had somethings in common. Sometimes, the locations were huge areas - amusement parks, factories, sawmills, places with lots of square footage.

Sometimes, the places were houses or mansions. They were places with stories to go behind them. Either way, the places that the mysteries took place had access to food. I mean, Scooby and Shaggy had to have snacks, right?

I think that there are several Deep East Texas locations that would fit the Scooby-Doo narrative. Check them out!
