There's just something about firing up a grill that makes the day a bit better. I could be having the absolute worst day ever, but if I go home, light a fire, season some steaks and throw them on the grill, I'd consider that a pretty good day.

My question to you is: When do you consider it the perfect time for grilling? See which of the categories you fall in below.

Option 1: Anytime Works. Literally, Anytime.

Some people are those die-hard grillmasters. If there's time away from work, and you've got some meat in the fridge, they're firing up the pit. The temperature outside could be anywhere from -20° to 130°, and they're ready to go. If it's cold, they're bundling up, and if it's hot, they're going down to the fewest layers of clothes possible.

Option 2: Hot Months. We Don't Do The Cold Stuff.

Some people only get out the grills during the hot months, like during summer. Around here in Texas, it tends to be easier to grill during these times, because rain during summer is - usually - non-existent. It's a lot easier to grill when it's not pouring down. Plus, it's a lot safer if you're avoiding lightning...

Option 3: Cold Months. Let's Not Sweat Over The Grill.

There are people that prefer getting out the grill in the late-fall and winter months. To them, it's not worth risking being in summer conditions to have a grilled meal. Especially in Texas, it can be brutal standing over an open flame in July. You have to be just as dedicated to do that.

Option 4: Right In Between All Of The Above *MY PERSONAL FAVORITE*

Then there's the rest of us. Call me a fair-weather fan, call me whatever you like. I've grilled in below-freezing temperatures, and I've grilled in triple-digit temperatures. But my absolute favorite time to grill is somewhere right in the middle. I'm talking about in the 70° to 85° range, maybe with a bit of cloud cover...Perfect. I guess that would make my ideal time to grill somewhere around March to April, or October to November - or, this year, right now would be perfect with this warm season that we've had so far.

What about you? What's your ideal time to grill?
