Right Now is the Perfect Time for Grilling in Deep East Texas
With the exception of heightened rain chances becoming more frequent, the weather outside right now is fantastic. Here in Deep East Texas, the high temperatures are hitting somewhere in the 80s each day, and the lows are staying somewhere in the high-60s or low-70s range. Do you know what that means?
This is Prime Grilling Time in Deep East Texas
With the temperature like it is right now, it is the perfect time to fire up those grills. Up until now, the temperatures have still been a bit too cool to be outside grilling. In a month or two, the temperatures will be in the 90s, which is a bit warm - I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd still be out there with a grill, but I prefer to be grilling before it gets that hot.

Plus, with the sporadic rain that we've been getting, it's actually a bit safer to get those grills going. Yes, we've had some drought issues this year already, but for right now there aren't any burn bans going on, and things aren't too dried out. Once again, that will probably be a different story when we get to June, July and August.

So, what does all this mean? It means that it's time to pull those grills out. Make sure they're clean and ready to go. Go to the store and buy the essentials: charcoal (or pellets and propane) for those of you that prefer those kinds of grills...). Call up the local meat market and see what their prices are looking like. Then, get after it. This ideal time for grilling won't last forever. It probably won't last through next month...
