Susu’s Popcorn & Candy Café is Officially the Sixth Competitor in the Brick Street Burger Battle

We are right in the middle of the Brick Street Burger Battle in downtown Nacogdoches. If you haven't heard about it yet, you can refer back to the post that I wrote up on September 16th about it. However, there is an addition that I need to make. There's actually a sixth competitor in the battle.

Susu's Popcorn & Candy Café is in the Brick Street Burger Battle

At this point, pretty much everyone is familiar with Susu's Popcorn & Candy Café. What people might not know is that they have an entry in the Brick Street Burger Battle. Their competition piece is called the "Brendyn's Burger".

Technically, this entry isn't a burger. It's a blending of three different flavors of popcorn to make a burger taste. According to a post from the Nacogdoches Main Street Facebook page, "Susu's is our bonus Burger Battle stop." The burger-inspired mixture is made up of their BBQ-flavored popcorn, cheddar-flavored popcorn, and dill pickle popcorn.

Important Dates for the Brick Street Burger Battle

So, if you're taking part in the Brick Street Burger Battle you still have until October 25th to try out the different creations. If you're filling out a physical stamp card for each participating location, you have until October 26th to have those turned in. And, of course, the Brick Street Burger Battle Champion will be announced on October 27th.

One of the six locations will be crowned champion at the end of all this, and you have a chance to give input on who that champion is. And, who knows? The champion could be a popcorn shop.
