Summer is here and many across the state are having their last summer before going off to college. If you're staying in the state, these schools were voted the best.

Change is inevitable and the East Texas University is preparing for a major rebrand.

Luckily Texas has the highest-rated college town in the U.S.

According to one source, SFA actually has a better criminal justice program. They have SFA ranked as #2 out of 40 in the nation.

All three of the victims were shot inside a university dorm room, killing the two adult women and injuring a 2-year-old child.

They have to wait a few more days before it becomes official, but it looks like the University of Texas system that includes 14 schools has picked its new Chancellor. And he's a New Yorker.

A few weeks ago we mentioned that the Jefferson Davis statue on the UT-Austin campus was causing quite a stir and some students wanted it to be removed from campus.  Now the university has made a decision and it's a compromise. Jefferson Davis was a Confederate leader.
