If you haven't heard of Chad Prather before, you may want to go check out some of his videos. He discusses everything from little league, to politics, to Texas pride and everything in between. He was - and still is - a comedian that calls Texas home.

His latest video is a message directly aimed at Governor Abbott, asking for him to open up Texas. I could tell you more, but I'll let you see the video for yourself:

Since COVID-19 began, we've seen lots of our local businesses here in Deep East Texas face tough times with shutting down, adapting to different protocols, shutting down again and more.

And, the things that Chad was saying in the video are things that we've seen local business owners and other community members saying. Sure, there have been others that are calling for the opposite, but I'm seeing lots of people asking for the complete opening.

Will this make a difference, considering all that's still unknown and still going on with COVID-19? I can't answer that question.

In the meantime, we're going to keep an eye on Chad Prather. As you heard in the video, he told Governor Abbott, "I'll probably see you in 2022." Is a run for the position of Governor of Texas in mind? It kind of sounds that way, and looks that way according to his website. Again, we're going to keep an eye on this guy.
