Texas Lottery Unveils Willy Wonka Golden Ticket

We all remember the story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, or more recently, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. You know, the kid checks inside the Wonka chocolate bars to see if he's a lucky recipient of the golden ticket. Now, the Texas Lottery is giving players the chance to play a newer, even more rewarding version of the classic tale.

The Texas Lottery has just launched their newest game, Willy Wonka Golden ticket. Players that purchase the large 12" x 8" card have the chance to win up to $250,000 instantly, or if they don't win, the tickets can be entered into promotional second-chance drawings, which give them a chance to enter what's called the "Billion Dollar Challenge".

According to the executive director of the Texas Lottery, Gary Grief, "This is the first time a scratch ticket game has offered the possibility of winning a $1 billion prize."

20 players will win trips to Las Vegas to participate in the Billion Dollar Challenge. While in Vegas they'll be playing for the chance to win cash up to $1 billion.

I don't normally get scratch-offs, but I may have to go find one of these Golden Ticket games to see if I could be a winner!
