The revolving door that is Thin Lizzy continues to turn, although this change was expected.

Thin Lizzy are about to lose guitarist Vivian Campbell, but have already got a replacement lined up.

Campbell made his announcement on Facebook following Thin Lizzy's April 1 concert in Chicago.

"Well, that was it.  My last U.S. show with Lizzy - and it was a great one to end on. New guitarist Richard Fortus came and played a couple of songs.   I have one final gig with them in Ireland, and the very next day we start Def Lep rehersals."

Campbell will return to Def Leppard activity after Thin Lizzy plays Slaine Castle in Ireland on May 28.  Guns N’ Roses guitarist Richard Fortus will take over for Campbell.  Fortus will be with the band when they play the High Voltage Festival.
