UPDATE: Walmart Drive-In Is NOT Coming To Deep East Texas

Think back to the beginning of July. We did a story about Walmart. Specifically, the fact that Walmart was going to be transforming the parking lots of some of their stores into drive-in theaters. It was actually going to be a pretty cool concept. Well, for some places, it WILL BE a pretty cool concept.

Only, it's not going to be coming to Deep East Texas...

Nope, there will be no Walmart Drive-In coming to Nacogdoches, Lufkin, Jasper, Center, etc. The closest town that will host one of these drive-ins is Tyler. Now, I understand that Tyler isn't that far away, and it might be worth the trip to see the movie.

There will also be a list of movies to choose from. From my understanding, they won't all be shown at each location, but there will be options. The movies are listed below:

• Wonder Woman
• Spy Kids
• Space Jam
• Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse
• Ghostbusters
• The Wizard of Oz
• Black Panther
• E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial
• Friday Night Lights

If you're curious, and would like to drive to Tyler to experience the drive-in, it will be set up there October 16th, October 17th, October 20th and October 21st.
