With liquor sales always a hot topic due to a consistent revenue stream for the state, for those looking to purchase "the hard stuff", a Sunday visit to your favorite establishment may be looming in the near future.

Simply by making an amendment to the Alcoholic Beverage Code, the state could pocket an additional $7 million or so.  Also on the docket, is stretching daily hours of operation from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

But, not everyone is tickled pink about opening their doors on Sunday.  Some of the 1,600 retailers say the extra day will cut into profits, even forcing some businesses to cease operations altogether.

14 states have repealed "blue laws" in the past nine years, but it should be noted that similar bills have come before the Legislature, with not one making it out of committee.

Stay thirsty my friends.
