Car Doctor Closes After Years Serving Nacogdoches, Xpress Auto & Diesel Opens in Its Place

The Car Doctor has been a fixture in Nacogdoches for some time now. They've been located just south of the loop for years. However, it looks like that has all come to a close.

The Car Doctor is Now Xpress Auto & Diesel

I was speaking with someone the other day and mentioned The Car Doctor, and they said, "Oh, I heard they closed down." I hadn't heard anything about that, so I decided to take a look at the shop location. Sure enough, the sign out in front for The Car Doctor had been replaced with a sign for Xpress Auto & Diesel.

This isn't a business that I'm familiar with. Naturally, I decided to do some digging. According to their Xpress Auto & Diesel website, Nacogdoches will be the third location for this company. There's one located at 2300 South Main Street in Lindale, and one located at 216 East Front Street in Tyler. According to the Xpress Auto and Diesel Facebook page, their first official day to have the Nacogdoches location open was Monday, August 31st.

Again, this took me by surprise. Don't get me wrong, I think it's pretty awesome to see new businesses come and set up shop in our Deep East Texas area. However, it will be different not seeing The Car Doctor around.
