Zooey Deschanel Mistakenly Connected to Boston Bombings

Imagine seeing your name on live television, as a suspect in the Boston bombings!

It happened to Zooey Deschanel, perhaps because of auto-correct. A closed-captioning sentence on a Fox affiliate last Friday said of the suspect, "He is 19-year-old Zooey Deschanel.” The suspect authorities were looking for was of course, 19-year-old Dzhokar Tsarnaev.  Click through to see the screen shot.

Zooey took it in stride and retweeted the photo to her own followers with the comment, “Whoa! Epic closed captioning FAIL!” That was retweeted more than eleven thousand times.

That could be the biggest auto-correct flub of all time.
