I'm fed up with sports athletes who have public intoxication problems, domestic violence raps, criminal mischief reports, and are in my opinion, impressionable dunder-heads, who should have no more a second chance than any one of us in the real world.

The latest NFL mug shot is that of Seattle Seahawk's running back Marshawn Lynch.  Dallas Cowboy's wide receiver Dez Bryant preceeded his arrest by a couple hours.  Then there's Denver Bronco's defensive end Elvis Dumervil, and former Dallas Maverick, Jason Kidd; completing the superfecta of arrests within a 72 HOUR PERIOD!

Let me pause now to memorialize the disclaimer that appears at the beginning of each "COPS" episode, and that is, "all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty".

So, with all this discourse, it gives me great pleasure to report that our very own Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub (and his wife Laurie) has generously donated $200,000 to the Texas Children's Hospital.

Schaub, in the final year of his current contract, says that he and his wife will continue to support the hospital regardless of where his football career takes him.

On the football platform, Schaub says his foot, which was fractured in week 10 last season, is recovering nicely, as he prepares for the Texans 2012 camp opening.
