With all of the crazy gift-buying for family, friends, and sig others, it's easy to get caught up in the madness, and pass by those that really need the help. There are lots of kids in East Texas who won't be getting gifts this year if we don't step up in a hurry.

The good news is, gifts have been purchased for over 800 kids with the Salvation Army Angel Tree. But more gifts are needed, and they want to deliver the gifts on Saturday.

The Lufkin Daily News says there are still 130 kids whose names remain on the trees, and who haven't been adopted.

Most of those left are boys between the ages of ten and thirteen. The trees have been taken down, but you can contact the Salvation Army and they'll get you hooked up.

Call the Salvation Army at 634-5132 or visit the office at 410 S. Third in Lufkin.
