5 Questions That Will Anger True East Texans
There are certain things that get under your skin. Don't even try to deny it. That's just part of being human. However, there are some things that will get under ALL TRUE East Texans' skins. So, if you're from out of town, you might want to read this list and commit it to memory.

"You're from Louisiana, right?"
No. No. No. Nuh-uh. Nope. Can you tell that this one kind of stands by itself? There is this awesome border between Texas and Louisiana called the Sabine River. Educate yourself.

"Can you cook my steak well-done?"
This is a personal pet-peeve of mine, but I've found that it tends to run true with most East Texans. A steak should not be over-cooked, and just because there's a little pink in it, it doesn't mean that it's ruined.

"Does everyone here drive pickup trucks?"
The answer to this question - obviously - is no. However, it does get old getting asked daily about it.

"Does everyone here listen to country music?"
Same answer as #3.

"I've lived here more than one year - that makes me a true East Texan, right?"
Negative. And if you've uttered any of these above statements before - whether you've been here a few years or your whole life - you may want to re-evaluate your "True East Texan" status.
