Reports have recently came out of Hollywood, from family members, that Classic Television actress Bonnie Franklin has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Franklin, who is 68, starred in the long running sitcom "One Day at a Time", which ran on CBS from 1975 to 1984.

In the show, she played Ann Romano, a single mom raising two children (Mackenzie Phillips and Valerie Bertinelli).

Franklin, who lives in Los Angeles, says she is grateful for the outpouring of concern since the news broke, and says she will continue her normal schedule while undergoing treatment.

Pancreatic cancer is considered one of the most deadly because of an extremely short life expectancy once discovered.

Franklin was gracious enough to allow me an interview with her at the pinnacle of her career.  She was an "A"-list star at the time, but you would have never known how famous she really was, because she was simply a very nice woman.
