I walked outside earlier today, and was greeted by the instant heat wave that is East Texas. We're right in the middle of a days-long stretch of triple digit temperatures. Actually, if you check the same weather app that I use, temperatures aren't going to drop below 95º for AT LEAST a week and a half.

We're in September, people. Fall starts this month. Yes, that season that includes the changing of plant colors, Friday night football games, Thanksgiving, etc. Yet, we're still sitting at temperatures above 100º.

So naturally, my mind starts churning away...from there, I whittle it all down to one single thought.

Cooler temperatures HAVE got to be coming soon, right?

I mean, that's what fall means. Not a huge drop in temperatures, but at least a drop into the 80's...I'd be ecstatic with that change. I'm not a fan of frigid cold temperatures, just cooler ones. I love summer - my favorite season - and the hot temperatures. But, when it's time to go onto the next one, it's time.

It actually kind of concerns me for what our fall/winter transition might look like. Will it be unbearably cold? Because if that's the case, I think I'll just tough out the hot temperatures and be quite content where I am. Call me a wuss if you'd like, it's just how I'm wired.

So, what are your thoughts? Are cooler temperatures finally on the way? Or, are we going to sit in the heat for awhile? Let us know in the comments below!
