Growing up, one of my favorite, and still favorite, bands was Nirvana. After loosing Kurt Cobain in 1994, Nirvana was done. However, their drummer, Dave Grohl, started a little band called Foo Fighters a couple of years later.

Who knew a drummer could sing? They quickly became one of the most popular bands in all of rock music. And Grohl has shown time and again to be one of the coolest rock stars ever. Posing for random pictures in the street, bringing fans on stage during shows, he even cooked BBQ for firefighters last year while they were battling the California wildfires.

All of that leads into Wednesday night, May 1, at Stanley's Famous Pit Bar-B-Q in Tyler. A few lucky patrons got the opportunity to meet Dave Grohl as he was there working on a non-music project.

We reached out to some of those lucky few who got the opportunity for a photo op with Grohl. They were kind enough to share their experience with us.
