1st Lieutenant Kyle Locke began his Army Career as an enlisted soldier with the Texas Army National Guard in 2002. He attended Basic Training at Ft. Knox, Kentucky and completed AIT at the US Army Signal School at Ft. Gordon, GA in 2003 as the Distinguished Honor Graduate.

In 2004, SPC Locke deployed to Iraq as a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom III with C Battery 1/133rd Field Artillery in Lufkin, TX.  After the 18 month deployment was over, SPC Locke returned to Nacogdoches where he enrolled in Stephen F. Austin State University where he joined the ROTC program and earned his degree in Communications and his commission as a Military Police Officer in 2007.  1LT Locke attended and graduated from the Military Police Officer Basic Course in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO in January of 2010.

He lives with his wife Kellie and their three daughters in Nacogdoches, where he is the Recruiting Operations Officer for the ROTC department at SFA.

1LT Locke has served in a variety of Leadership positions to include: Platoon Leader for the 702nd Military Police Company and Rear Detachment Company Commander for HHC 136th Military Police Battalion.  1LT Locke now serves as the Recruiting Operations Officer for Stephen F Austin State University ROTC Department.

His decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Service Medals, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Service Ribbon w/ M Device, and the Adjutant General’s Individual Award for service during Hurricanes Gusto and Ike.
