The past two years, Texas has had a team to cheer for in the World Series. The third time was not the charm for the Texas Rangers, but we can still cheer for an East Texas native who will be making his first World Series appearance tonight when the San Francisco Giants take on the Detroit Tigers.

Former Hudson Hornet Brandon Belt is in his second season in Major League Baseball, and in the video below he talks about what it felt like to become part of a major league roster one year ago.

Belt has said publicly that he appreciates the support from East Texas and he wants to make his hometown of Hudson proud.

Suddenly, we're Giants fans. Good luck Brandon!
