Start making travel plans for Sept. 16, as London’s Royal Albert Hall will play host to the 2012 edition of the Sunflower Jam. The event is a night filled with music performances that will be hosted by actor Jeremy Irons.

Iron Maiden‘s Bruce Dickinson, Deep Purple drummer Ian Paice, and Queen‘s Brian May will lead the way, with Level 42′s Mark King, Led Zeppelin‘s John Paul Jones, Alfie Boe, and Kerry Ellis also among those performing.

Jacky Paice, wife of Ian Paice, set up the Sunflower Jam Charity in 2006 to help people treat cancer within the UCLH. She explains, “As time has gone on, we have learnt so much about what can be done to help treat cancer in a natural way. I am honored to be hosting my 6th annual event this year. Personally, this is the most important year for raising awareness and funds as the percentage of people being diagnosed with cancer is rising.”

Dickinson stated, “Sunflower Jam is a great night out and a fabulous meeting of musical styles and personalities for a unique and very worthy cause.”

Proceeds from the charity work will go to supporting initiatives that bridge the gap between integrated, functional and conventional medicine with a natural approach to wellness for children, young people, adults, and their families with a range of acute and chronic emotional and mental and physical conditions.
