The Lufkin Little League baseball team may not be watching the Little League World Series at home on the couch this year. A few more wins, and they'll make the trip to Williamsport to play for a title. Do you think we have some future Major Leaguers brewin'?

Last week Lufkin won the Texas East State Championship, and after a few more practices Lufkin will open the Southwestern Regional this Friday in Waco against Oklahoma. Lufkin’s first three games at the tournament will be broadcast on television on the Longhorn Network, and the semifinals and finals will be on ESPN2 if ya wanna huddle around the TV at work.

Lufkin will face teams from Mississippi, New Mexico, Colorado, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma in this weekend's regional. These are some pretty talented 11 and 12 year olds. Good luck guys!
