Texas Most Wanted Fugitive With Ties to Lufkin Still on the Run
Think back to 2019. I know, that was before Covid, and it could be a little hard to remember anything before that, but do me a favor and try. We put out a story about a fugitive that was on the run and whose last known whereabouts were tied to Lufkin.
If you need a refresher, that original story can be found here.
Lufkin Fugitive on Texas Most Wanted List Still on the Run
Well, it turns out that Troy James Allison, the fugitive that I was referring to earlier, is still on the run, even eight years later. He was convicted of aggravated rape in 1977 and then paroled in 2003. In 2004 he went on the run after failing to register as a sex offender and violating parole. According to the Texas DPS website, in addition to the aggravated rape charge, his other offenses include indecency with a child and assault-threat to take life.

His last known address was in Deep East Texas near downtown Lufkin at 407 E. Jodie Avenue. Now, keep in mind that was back in 2003-2004. After more than 20 years, there's no telling where else he might have been. Also, he is considered to be armed and dangerous.
There's Still a Reward for Tips Leading to His Arrest
Even though it's been 22 years since Troy James Allison went on the run, he is still on the Texas DPS Still Wanted list, and information that leads to his arrest can earn a cash reward of up to $2,000.
