Main Street Market in Nacogdoches is Officially Opening Its Doors in May

Everybody around Nacogdoches knows about the Nacogdoches Farmers Market that's open on Saturdays. It's a cool place to shop local and get grocery items and other things, without having to go to the grocery store. The only drawback is that it's only open one day a week.

However, in May, Nacogdoches residents will be getting another option for buying these local options on different days, as well as during the afternoon/evening hours. Tuesday, May 26th, Main Street Market will have its grand opening in Nacogdoches.

Main Street Market Details

According to the Main Street Market Facebook page, this new addition is located at 2005 E. Main Street in Nacogdoches and is described as an "indoor evening market". They will be open every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM.

They're currently looking for vendors and only have ten vendor spaces available. They are looking for people that sell vegetables, eggs, honey, cheese, baked goods, meats, and more. Any questions can be sent to the Main Street Market Facebook page or via email at mainstreetmarketnac@gmail.com.

Main Street Market Grand Opening

Like I mentioned earlier, the grand opening of Main Street Market will take place on Tuesday, May 26th from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM.  There's a Facebook event page for the grand opening, and it mentions being able to meet the local vendors, and - for the first night only - getting something fresh for dinner. It sounds like they've got something special in mind for the attendees!

To me, this sounds like a pretty cool addition to Nacogdoches, not to try to outdo the established Farmers Market, but to give people another option to shop local, in case they can't wait until Saturday rolls around to buy items.
