If you are looking to meet with like minded photographers, this photography workshop series could be the place. The first night of the series is this Saturday, March 20th at VFW Post 1836 in Lufkin.  The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post is located at 1800 Ford Chapel Rd, Lufkin, TX 75901. This is a large venue, and perfect for social distancing.

This is the start of what these hopeful organizers would like to turn into a photography club. The idea is to give our region something that we don't have for adult photographers. If you are in the area, and looking to learn new skills this could be for you.

There is always power in meeting with others that have the same goals. Getting a community of photographers together could be a beautiful thing for the Pineywoods. I am looking forward to the images that they will be able to create together.

All skill levels are encouraged to attend this event. They are hoping to reach out to all of Deep East Texas. That of course includes Lufkin, Nacogdoches, and all the smaller towns in our area. They are also planning on having guest speakers on certain nights when they have club meetings. Masks are required to be worn.
