As a San Antonio Spurs fan, I think - Nope - I KNOW that it's been far too long since the Spurs won a national championship. For those of you that are less familiar with the Spurs, they won their last championship in 2014. That means that it's been 12 years since they won it all. This year, for the first time in a while, it feels like they could hoist the trophy at the end of the season.

San Antonio Spurs Chances to Win 2026 National Title

Before I go any deeper into this, let me say this: I am not a sports analyst. I'm just a fan over here in Deep East Texas. I am not paid to break down every stat. On that same note, I haven't watched every game. It's not that I'm not a huge fan, I just don't have access to all the games, all the time. I also don't have the time to watch EVERY SINGLE GAME. However, as someone that is just a genuine fan and not a fair-weather fan, I think that San Antonio absolutely has a shot to win the whole thing this year.

As of right now, in round one of the playoffs, the Spurs are looking good against the Portland Trailblazers. They currently lead that series. Now, can things change? Absolutely. Can Portland turn the tables? Crazier things have happened. However, in my opinion, the Spurs are looking good to win the series. I'm hoping that winning this series will just be the beginning of post-season winning for the Spurs.

At the end of the day, win or lose, I'll still be supporting the San Antonio Spurs. That's just who I am. I'm just saying, they're looking better this season than they have in a while. So, it just fits to say, "Go Spurs Go".
