Lufkin Mall

Driving into work today I noticed that there were quite a few trucks with complicated colorful trailers.

Who else remembers the Tilt arcade in the Lufkin Mall? Do you have any fond memories of it?

Nobody told me that Al's Formal Wear was gone. Shoot, I didn't even know that it was closed, much less completely empty...

Today, I decided to look a bit deeper into it. I even went to the JCPenney website again. This is what I saw:

If you check out the store directory on the Lufkin Mall website, both of these are listed as "Temporarily Closed".

The store at the Lufkin Mall is included as one of those to be shut down.

For the first time since COVID-19 closed down - basically - everything, I got the chance to walk through the Lufkin Mall. What I saw was interesting...

Today they made an announcement via Facebook that shows that they are beginning the process of opening up, and getting back to a somewhat more normal schedule.

Big changes seem to be happening at the mall where Sears once was.

Less than one week until Thanksgiving, and Lifetime Television Network is already in full Christmas regalia showing the "Twelve Days Of Christmas" for 26 nights!
