Weather Postponements and Cancellations in Deep East Texas
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: We're not fans of winter weather events here in Deep East Texas. I can remember when I was in school, we used to hope for snow days. Now, as an adult, I find myself hoping AGAINST winter weather.

That's why everyone is so on edge about the potential for bad weather this weekend. We're not used to ice and frigid cold temperatures. In anticipation of the bad weather, several events around our area have been cancelled or postponed, until we can have normal weather.
As of right now, these are a few the events that have changed:
- Angelina College Lady Roadrunners Softball
- Season opener vs. Tyler Junior College
- Originally scheduled for Friday, January 23 at 1:00 PM
- Postponed - No rescheduled time announced yet.
- Angelina College Roadrunners Basketball
- Game in Corsicana vs. Navarro College
- Originally scheduled for Saturday, January 24th at 4:00 PM
- Rescheduled to Saturday, March 7 at 4:00 PM, in Corsicana
- Nacogdoches Kid Fish
- Originally scheduled for Saturday, January 24th at 9:00 AM - Noon
- Rescheduled for Saturday, January 31st at 9:00 AM - Noon
- Banita Creek Hall - Aaron Watson Concert
- Originally scheduled for Saturday, January 24th
- Rescheduled to Saturday, February 14th
- Purchased tickets will be honored for new date or refunded.
- Nacogdoches VFW Saturday Night Dance
- Originally scheduled for Saturday, January 24th
- Cancelled
- Regularly scheduled dance night will resume Saturday, January 31st
* NOTE: Like I mentioned, these are just a few of the events that have changed in the Nacogdoches and Lufkin areas. *

The good news is that it looks like all these events will be made up, so if you made big plans around them, hopefully you'll be able to make it up at the rescheduled events! Stay warm and safe everyone!
