It Happened…Nacogdoches Added A New One of These…

Have you ever been in those places where it seems like they just have too many of a certain type of store or service? You know the places I'm talking about?

Nacogdoches is one of those places.

Nacogdoches has tons of donut shops...at one time, I counted them all up, and it wound up being like 10 donut shops. For a city the size of Nacogdoches, 10 donut shops seems just a bit excessive. You practically can't even turn around without laying your eyes on one.

So, what happes now?

Well, build a new one, of course! I haven't been by to snap any brand new photos, but there is, in fact, a brand new Donut Palace on North Street. It's located directly behind the North Food Mart, across the street from The Surgery Center.

Another donut shop...I will say that I'm not a huge fan of donuts...however, I am a huge fan of kolaches...excuse me, the Pig In A Blanket, for those of you that refuse to call them kolaches. But, even I think that Nacogdoches has gone just a bit over the top with donut places.

But, hey, with it being a college town, maybe it really does NEED that many donut shops. Again, this is something that I haven't taken the time to sit down and do the research on, it's just something that I've observed over the past few years.
