Looking forward to three or four days of this Memorial Day weekend? So are we.

The weather forecast for the weekend shows nothing but sunshine, which gives us the perfect excuse to travel and enjoy the outdoors.

If you're not taking a road trip and are looking for some local events to attend, check out a few festivities we found, including lakes, veterans events, parades and more.

Whatever you decide to do, please be safe, and enjoy your weekend off!

The park offers camping, picnicking, a swimming pool (opens this weekend for Memorial Day), mountain biking, horseback riding, nature study, fishing and boating.
