Taco Bell Introduces the Biscuit Taco
Soon you'll have to decide what shape you want your breakfast in.
McDonalds has the round bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit, and now Taco Bell is coming out with the same thing shaped like taco.
Instead of the taco shell on the outside, Taco Bell is putting a taco-shaped buttermilk biscuit there. The new Biscuit Taco is served warm of course, and you can pick from bacon or sausage to go with the egg and cheese.
The fast-food breakfast market is crowded, and restaurants are trying to come up with new ways to stay competitive and take business away from each other. Oh, and right in line with what we spicy Texans love....a spicy honey jalepeno sauce to go with the Biscuit Taco. Hungry?
Taco Bell has other plans to expand the menu this fall with a wrap filled with bacon, hash browns, eggs, guacamole, cheddar cheese and pico de gallo. And there's another with sausage and gravy, hash browns, cheese, and eggs.
For those of us trying to watch our figures, it does't look like Taco Bell has any lighter choices. McDonalds has the Fruit and Yogurt parfait. Will that be the next place they get competitive? We'll see.
