Texas Ranks Near The Bottom of Charitable States

Utah is the most charitable state, according to a new report from WalletHub. They looked at factors like percentage of income donated, the amount of time volunteered, and percentage of sheltered homeless, to come up with the state rankings.
Texas ranks 48th. Yuck! We can do better. States including Wisconsin, Oklahoma, West Virginia, New Mexico, Arkansas, and Louisiana all ranked ahead of us. So which two states ranked lower? California and Arizona are less charitable, according to WalletHub.
After the Black Friday madness, and more buying on Small Business Saturday, um.....Shopping-because-it's-fun Sunday, and Cyber Monday, we turn the corner and today is Giving Tuesday. Two questions. Can we be more generous? And does everything have to have a catchy name?
