Nacogdoches grew by almost 20,000 people over the weekend when the Texas Blueberry Festival took over downtown.

This year marked the 25th Anniversary of Nac's celebration of the blueberry harvest, and the festival says on its website that it's the only state-sanctioned blueberry festival in Texas and attracts more than 19,000 people to downtown Nacogdoches each year.

After the kids stuffed themselves on blueberry pancakes, they headed for the bounce zone to cool off on water rides, and the adults tried to impress at the baking contest and browsed the craft zones.

The blueberries this year came from Craig and Julie Woods, owners of Wood Berry Farm,a few miles north of Diboll.
