I'm disappointed that the closest Foreigner will get to us this year is May 12th in Austin. Last time I saw them perform was under the stars in 1986 at Irvine Meadows Amphitheater in "So-Cal". Had a "lawn" seat, as in bring your own lawn chair. Those that failed to do so, either stood or sat on the grass. Don't like outdoor concerts. Concerts are made for intimate settings - indoors! The further back you are, the more people gather, then shout to one another trying to to converse over what can only be described, as deafening treble.

Since 2008, the surviving members of the classic Bad Company lineup have occasionally regrouped to play shows in select parts of the world, such as the United States and Japan.

Mainland Europe was not part of Bad Co.’s itineraries — until this year. Starting June 9 in Sweden, singer Paul Rodgers, guitarist Mick Ralphs and drummer Simon Kirke will launch a brief tour of continental Europe, their first one there since 1975 (way back when the band’s second album, ‘Straight Shooter,’ was released).

Not only has Plant been there more than once to explore its deep blues history, he and fellow Led Zeppelin legend Jimmy Page honored the city by naming their 1998 joint studio effort ‘Walking Into Clarksdale.’

Clarksdale is where Plant will be in August when he headlines the 25th anniversary edition of the Sunflower River Blues and Gospel Festival.
