Well today The Department of Defense declassified a set of documents that have been named the UFO Files. 162 files have been released and here are the ones for Texas.

January 1, 1948 in Abilene

Mr. A. Schroeder would report a UFO in the 100 block of Highland Avenue. Schroeder claims a stationary bright blue-green bell-shaped object in the western sky above Abilene at 1:25 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. The object appeared both times for about two seconds. Schroeder did not hear any sounds when the object disappeared and reappeared.   The full incident report can be read here. April 18, 1948 Fort Worth Man Spots UFO While Flying

Lieutenant Aytch Johnson did not have this incident in Texas, but he is from Fort Worth. While flying over Alaska, he claimed an object was going somewhere between 250 and 300 miles per hour. It was also moving in a horizontal direction, to a vertical direction at quick speeds as well. Full incident report here, Johnson's testimony starts on page 52.

Dec. 5, 1965 Astronaut Spots UFO and Reports It to Mission Control in Houston

What you can hear above is from NASA's Gemini 7 mission when astronaut Frank Borman is reporting a 'bogey'. When asked to clarify what they are seeing, Borman said he was seeing "hundreds of little particles" on their left, about three to four miles away.NASA Public Affairs clarified, the bogey was an unidentified object, along with the particles. Random Texas Newspaper Clippings

The only other mentions of Texas are in random newspaper stories. The Yoakum Times Record from Yoakum, Texas reported several citizens were seeing flying discs, but also giant balls of fire. The balls of fire were traveling in a straight line, but then went into the shape of a circle. It would appear this incident happened in 1947 from the incident report.
