There's officially a Guinness World Record for everything now.

Tuesday night was interesting in the series between the Rangers and Astros not only because Mitch Moreland gave the Rangers a walk-off win with his homer in the 11th, but because the Rangers set a new Guinness World Record. For what?  The most people wearing sunglasses in the dark at one time.  Really!!

The Rangers only needed 424 people in shades to beat the previous record, so representatives from Guinness counted only sections 314 and 315.  But thousands beyond that had the shades on.  In fact, most of the 33,533 in attendance wore the blue or red shades.

Even Nolan Ryan and former President George W. Bush were sporting them!

Surely that was the reason behind Moreland's winning home run.  The shades were the good luck charm.
